Lola Burns (played by Jean Harlow) is the new hot film star, a fact that’s indicated from the opening montage of Bombshell, a sequence of her photos, newspaper headlines and city lights. There is also a scene in a movie theatre with close-ups of the audience, while watching Burns kissing a man on the screen. The scene is from Hold Your Man, Harlow’s last film before Bombshell and the man is Clark Gable.
