[A part of Video Stores in Films tribute.]
Acme Video (which is actually a Blockbuster Video branch, as its signs are clearly visible later).
– Quick, where are the Schwarzenegger films?
– Foreign films are in the back.
Young Danny Madigan (Austin O’Brien) is trapped in a movie and he’s trying to convinve Jack Slater that he is not a real person, but a movie character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. But, being in a movie, he doesn’t realise that Schwarzenegger doesn’t exist now – Sylvester Stallone plays his part in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
While talking, some VHS are shown. Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner (1982), Geoff Murphy’s Young Guns 2 (1990), Christopher Cain’s Young Guns (1988), George Miller’s Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981), Phillip Noyce’s Dead Calm (1989). Also, a poster of Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula (1992).
Oliver Stone’s The Doors (1991), Rick Rosenthal’s Distant Thunder (1988), Fred Zinnemann’s The Day of the Jackal (1973).
Posters of Barbet Schroeder’s Single White Female (1992), Barry Levinson’s Bugsy (1991) and John Singleton’s Boys n the Hood (1991).
At the exit, a poster of Rob Reiner’s A Few Good Men (1992) is visible.
Scenes from John McTiernan’s Last Action Hero (1993).
