Woody Allen opened his film Manhattan with a sequence of shots from several well-known spots of New York, as shown in different hours of the day, from sunrise till late at night – he did that again 32 years later for Paris in Midnight in Paris.
In the above screenshot, Radio City’s marquee can be seen, advertisting a film with Anthony Quinn and Jennifer O’Neill who only starred together in Caravans, a film that screened in New York the time when Manhattan was shot (late 1978).
